Trish started FairKind Child in April 2016 as a pop up market stall at the local Steiner School monthly market, village summer fairs and craft markets. From there she went on to build the FairKind Child online shop and started taking her market stalls to larger scale baby shows and family festivals. She was eventually inspired by her supporters to open the flagship FairKind Child store in Horsham on 1st December 2017.
With previous experience in art, SEN education and having previously owned a health food shop before embarking on her FairKind journey, FairKind Child was designed to encompass all of her passions for creativity, learning and wellbeing. She is a huge advocate for learning through play, with interests in the Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Steiner approaches to early years. Since becoming a mother she has developed a stronger priority for sustainable and ethical living, which she demonstrates though the way she operates her business as ethically and environmentally responsibly as she can.
You’ll find Trish in the FairKind Child shop most days, always ready for a friendly chat over a cup of tea about your mothering journey. Her particular interests are homebirthing, breastfeeding, co-parenting after separation and child-parent attachment.
Eva joined the FairKind Child team in December 2017, shortly after we opened our shop in Horsham. Eva previously worked as a midwife and is currently studying holistic baby and child care with Emerson College in East Grinstead and the Rudolf Steiner House in London. Having attended a Steiner Waldorf school and now studying the theory behind Steiner education, Eva is passionate about child centred and child led education and care. When working at FairKind Child in Horsham, she is happy to listen to your pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding stories by providing a listening ear with a gentle, kind and non-judgemental approach. Her other passions and interests include crafting, being outside in nature, human rights in childbirth and LGBTQ parenting.
